RFMU to host kids fun day event

Colorado

The Rocky Mountain Farmers Union will be hosting a Farmers Union Kids Fun Day, April 19 at May Farms near Byers, Colo., (30 minutes east of Denver). This event will coincide with our annual Farmers Union county officers weekend. We will be working with area schools and our county organizations to sponsor a van or bus-load of youth from their area. Kids will be doing everything from planting a garden to fishing to working on renewable energy projects to just being a kid.

Also, on the same day and location there will be a Country Breakfast Fundraiser with May Family Foundation. The fundraiser is to help support the work of the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union Educational and Charitable Foundation, which includes our youth camps and achievement programs, the Cooperative Development Center and educational forums in rural communities. Tickets are $25 per person or you can purchase a table for 8 people for $150--a cost savings of $50 or 2 free tickets. The speaker will be announced within a few weeks.

For more information call 303-752-5800.
