Presho feeder cattle salesThe Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 2,475 head Feb. 28, compared to 1,942 head last week, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to two weeks ago, feeder steers sold steady to $3 higher, most of the advance on feeders weighing 750 pounds and over. Feeder heifers sold mostly steady. Several potloads on offer. The offering included 55% steers, 45% heifers, with 86% 600 pounds and over. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 19 head, 466 to 484 lbs., 126.00 to 130.25 (128.01); 555 to 592 lbs., 120.00 to 127.50 (122.48); 603 to 647 lbs., 116.75 to 122.50 (117.62) calves; 655 to 696 lbs., 106.50 to 115.00 (111.00) calves; 707 to 721 lbs., 107.00 to 112.10 (110.69) calves; 752 to 793 lbs., 101.50 to 108.50 (104.54) calves; 802 to 846 lbs., 97.60 to 105.00 (101.08). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 553 to 590 lbs., 117.00 to 117.25 (117.18); 668 to 690 lbs., 105.75 to 108.00 (107.59) calves; 10 head, 741 to 745 lbs., 103.25 to 104.25 (103.85) calves.
