Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales

The Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt, Kan., reported estimated receipts of 4,500 head March 6, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, feeder steers at 600 to 1000 pounds were $4 to $6 lower on early sales, and feeder heifers at 600 to 950 pounds were $2 to $4 lower. Feeder steers and heifers at 300 to 600 pounds were not established as of 3 p.m.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 13 head, 615 lbs., 113.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 98.50 to 100.00; 750 to 800 lbs., 98.85 to 99.25; 51 head, 840 lbs., 96.85; 850 to 900 lbs., 89.00 to 92.50; 40 head, 823 lbs., 90.00; 35 head, 994 lbs., 88.60.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 600 to 650 lbs., 97.50 to 101.50; 650 to 700 lbs., 95.25 to 98.85; 700 to 750 lbs., 95.00 to 98.25; 750 to 800 lbs., 92.50 to 95.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 89.00 to 92.50; 850 to 900 lbs., 86.50 to 90.25; 18 head, 921 lbs., 86.50.
