Lexington livestock salesThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 3,100 head Feb. 29, compared to 3,100 head last week and 1,800 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers trended steady to mostly $2 lower. Demand was mostly moderate and trading light to moderate. Receipts consisted of 58% steers and 42% heifers with 81% of the total feeder cattle receipts weighing over 600 pounds.
