K-State students organize 31st Annual Legacy Sale

Kansas

The students of Kansas State University's Livestock Sales Management class are preparing for the 31st annual Legacy Sale.

The sale will be at 3:30 p.m., March 7 at the K-State Purebred Beef Teaching Unit, 1912 Denison Ave., Manhattan.

Students act as sale managers for the event and are in charge of all organizational details. The sale will feature Angus, Hereford and Simmental breeds, with 50 performance-tested bulls, 80 female lots and four ranch-broke American Quarter Horse Association horses.

The sale is part of K-State's 95th annual Cattlemen's Day program, which starts at 8 a.m., in Weber Hall. More information on the sale and the Cattlemen's Day program is available at http://www.asi.ksu.edu/cattlemensday

Students organizing the Legacy Sale include: Brandy Valek, senior in agricultural economics, Agenda; Adam Hoffman, senior in feed science management, Claflin; Shawn Taddiken, senior in agricultural economics, Clifton; Brady Pickett, freshman in general agriculture, Geneseo.

From Manhattan: Kayla Auen, senior in animal sciences and industry; Charly Conrad, junior in animal sciences and industry; and Breanna Kuhlman, senior in agricultural technology management.

Tina Krafft, senior in animal sciences and industry, Phillipsburg; John Priest, senior in animal sciences and industry, Sabetha; Zachary McCracken, junior in animal sciences and industry, Syracuse; James Hartshorn, junior in agribusiness, Tonganoxie; Lindsay Havenstein, senior in animal sciences and industry, Westmoreland; Dustin Crittenden, junior in animal sciences and industry, Winfield; and Rebecca Farha, senior in animal sciences and industry, Yates Center.
