Fannin elected vice president of Southern Scientist Association

Blair Fannin, associate news editor with Texas A&M AgriLife Communications and Marketing, was elected vice president of the Southern Association of Agricultural Scientists-Agricultural Communications section at the 2008 meeting in Dallas recently.

The Agricultural Communications section consists of university instructors and professional agricultural communicators. The group meets to share the latest research on issues related to the profession.

Fannin has been with AgriLife Communications and Marketing for eight years as a news writer for Texas AgriLife Research.

The Southern Association of Agricultural Scientists began in 1899 to foster information sharing among agricultural leaders in education and industry.
