Denison feeder cattle saleThe Denison Feeder Cattle Auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 3,013 head Feb. 28, compared to 2,472 head last week, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special feeder cattle sale. The auction featured many strings of yearlings, and the higher corn market put pressure on the yearlings. Demand was good. Compared to two weeks ago, the market was steady to $2 lower. Receipts included 83% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 38% feeder heifers and 62% feeder steers.
