St. Joseph feeder pigs

The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 175 head June 3, compared to 140 head last week and 234 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo.

This was the first good test of top quality feeder pigs in several weeks. Buyer interest was much improved and trading was active for the light offering on hand. Prices paid per head on actual weights.

U.S. 1 to 2: string 38 lbs., 30.00; package 53 lbs., 42.25; package 79 lbs., 46.50.

U.S. 1 to 3: package 35 lbs., 20.00; package 156 lbs., 50.00.
