Dodge City livestock sales reportDodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 2,886 head, May 28, compared to 2,023 head, last week and 3,965 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers at 900 to 1000 pounds were steady, and steers at 300 to 900 pounds and heifers at 300 to 950 pounds in a limited supply of medium and large frame 1 were steady. Slaughter cows were steady to firm. Slaughter bulls were steady. Receipts included 76% 600 pounds and over, 13% 600 pounds and under, 11% slaughter cows and bulls with 310 head, early. The feeder supply included 80% steers and 20% heifers.
