AgriBusiness education at its bestThe American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers announces Summer Education Week '08 held July 14 to 18, at the Embassy Suites Omaha Downtown/Old Market, Omaha, Neb. Summer Education Week '08 brings you the latest agricultural education in one central location. ASFMRA is extremely excited to offer some of the hottest and most up-to-date education available for today's AgriBusiness professional. ASFMRA's Management Education has been reformatted into modules. Some of the modules that are planned include: Production Practices, Client Goals and Strategic Plan, Professionalism, Principles of Leasing, Conservation Practices, Selling Skills, Commodity Market Planning and Listening Skills. According to ASFMRA President Steve Runyan, ARA, "In the latest ASFMRA membership survey, respondents requested affordable education in a central location. In response, ASFMRA is offering Summer Education Week '08 in Omaha for members and for the agricultural professional," said Runyan. "The education offerings include the new Conservation Easement course, the premiere of the new Yellow Book seminar, the first-time offering of the newly developed Ag Land Management modules and RLI Land Investment Analysis." Among the many education opportunities, there will also be an Opening Reception, a Dinner Cruise on the Missouri River sponsored by Monsanto, an Evening Meal sponsored by Syngenta Crop Protection and a Golf Tournament, BBQ and Tour all sponsored by the Nebraska Chapter of ASFMRA. ASMFRA was founded in 1929 and is the premier association for property economic professionals who provide management, consultation and valuation services on agricultural and rural assets. Society members manage over 40 percent of the absentee farmland in the country, provide approximately 175,000 appraisals a year on 30 million acres of land, and provide consulting services for over 5,500 clients who collectively represent over 7 million acres of rural real estate.
