Ada livestock sales report

The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 725 head May 28, compared to 800 head last week and 640 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $1 higher. Feeder heifers were steady. Quality and weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium to fleshy. The supply included 51% heifers and 50% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 10 head, 496 lbs., 125.00; 15 head, 603 to 645 lbs., 111.50 to 112.50 (112.17); 17 head, 650 to 684 lbs., 109.00 to 111.00 (109.73); 8 head, 691 lbs., 105.00 fleshy; 12 head, 704 to 748 lbs., 108.00 to 110.00 (108.95); 19 head, 758 to 798 lbs., 105.50 to 109.00 (107.93); 12 head, 800 to 812 lbs., 100.00 to 105.75 (102.84). Medium and large frame 2, 5 head, 513 to 542 lbs., 109.00 to 113.00 (110.55); 12 head, 562 to 588 lbs., 108.00 to 110.00 (109.19).

Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 422 lbs., 122.00; 7 head, 467 to 493 lbs., 113.00 to 119.50 (115.70); 9 head, 565 to 599 lbs., 108.00 to 113.50 (110.98).

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 383 to 388 lbs., 114.00 to 121.00 (117.30); 18 head, 408 lbs., 118.50; 455 to 499 lbs., 110.00 to 117.00 (114.19); 7 head, 505 to 540 lbs., 111.00 to 114.00 (112.26); 7 head, 523 lbs., 115.50 fancy; 8 head, 555 to 576 lbs., 106.00 to 109.00 (106.73); 16 head, 614 to 643 lbs., 104.00 to 107.50 (106.20); 20 head, 814 lbs., 95.25; 9 head, 934 lbs., 89.50.
