Superior video auction report

The Superior Video Auction reported offerings of 58,000 head June 19, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Amarillo, Texas.

Compared to the last week, trade was slow to moderate and demand light to moderate. The supply included 59% feeder steers and heifers over 600 pounds, and 60% of the supply were steers and 40% heifers. Prices were FOB based on net weights after a 2 to 3% pencil shrink or equivalent, with a 3 to 6 cent slide on yearlings and 4 to 10 on calves. Deliveries current through December 2008.
