South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending June 20, showed receipts of 2,300 feeder lambs, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to last week, feeder lambs were steady to $5 lower. There were no slaughter lambs, slaughter ewes, replacement ewes or slaughter meat goats in the trade. Trading and demand were moderate. Hot, dry weather continues in the area and feed supplies are deteriorating.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 2300 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 65 to 90 lbs., 105.00 to 114.00, late 105.00.
