Joplin feeder cattle auctionThe Joplin Regional Stockyards, Joplin, Mo., reported receipts of 5,973 head June 23, compared to 3,900 head last week and 6,124 head last year, according to the Missouri Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Jefferson City, Mo. Compared to last week, steers were $1 to $3 higher, heifers under 650 pounds were steady, over 650 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Demand was moderate to good, supply moderate. Several load lots of yearlings were in the offering. The feeder supply included 49% steers, 43% heifers, 7% bulls, with 63% over 600 pounds.
