Dunlap livestock sales report

The Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 850 head June 24, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.

This was a special feeder sale. No comparable trends from recent sales. High quality cattle with most being black. Good interest from the seats. The receipts consisted of 71% over 600 pounds with 52% steers and 48% heifers.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 15 head, 455 to 479 lbs., 115.00 to 124.00 (120.55); 535 to 549 lbs., 118.50 to 120.25 (119.45); 560 to 578 lbs., 119.75 to 120.00 (119.98); 9 head, 609 lbs., 115.50; 702 to 739 lbs., 105.90 to 114.75 (110.69); 750 to 767 lbs., 110.25 to 112.80 (111.99); 15 head, 812 to 820 lbs., 109.00; 26 head, 893 lbs., 105.90; 920 to 932 lbs., 104.10 to 105.50 (105.05); 1006 to 1032 lbs., 99.50 to 100.00 (99.78). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 10 head, 406 lbs., 114.00; 4 head, 601 lbs., 106.75; 8 head, 653 to 693 lbs., 101.00 to 108.25 (104.73); 15 head, 896 lbs., 100.75. Medium frame 1 to 2, 7 head, 870 lbs., 94.75.
