Denison feeder cattle sales

The Denison Feeder Cattle Auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,701 head June 19, compared to 1,802 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.

This was a special feeder cattle sale. The auction featured mainly yearling cattle, no comparisons due to no recent sale, but a higher undertone was noted. Receipts included 84% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 46% heifers and 54% steers.
