Colorado feeder cattle sales reportThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., reported receipts of 590 head June 20, compared to 1,501 head last week and 645 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady on light offerings. Demand was good in a very limited test. Many barns have concluded coverage until late summer or fall. Coverage may begin sooner if dry conditions persist. The supply was made up of 27% feeder steers, balance feeder heifers, with about 49% of total feeder supply over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 550 to 570 lbs., 117.00; 780 lbs., 103.00; 800 lbs., 104.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 320 lbs., 115.00; 360 to 380 lbs., 115.00; 420 lbs., 121.00; 450 lbs., 118.00; 530 to 550 lbs., 107.00 to 111.00; 560 to 570 lbs., 106.50 to 108.00; 600 to 650 lbs., 107.00 to 110.00; 690 lbs., 101.50. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 550 to 560 lbs., 100.50 to 102.00; 610 lbs., 101.50; 650 to 700 lbs., 95.00 to 96.00; 740 to 750 lbs., 95.25 to 96.25; 770 lbs., 96.25.
