Aberdeen livestock sales

The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 3,519 head June 25, compared to 2,158 head last week and 2,225 head last year, according to the USDA-North Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers sold mostly $3 higher. Heifers sold $2 higher. Demand was good with many feeders sold in load lots. Steers comprised 55% of offerings, heifers 45%, with 99% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 759 to 789 lbs., 113.00 to 115.75 (114.13); 802 to 820 lbs., 113.00 to 115.00 (114.77); 852 to 877 lbs., 110.00 to 113.00 (111.91); 905 to 938 lbs., 108.00 to 110.00 (108.97); 475 head, 913 lbs., 111.10 value added; 11 head, 973 to 978 lbs., 103.00 to 104.75 (103.63); 1018 to 1028 lbs., 99.50 to 100.00 (99.79); 10 head, 1087 lbs., 98.50; 18 head, 1122 lbs., 97.00; 35 head, 1151 lbs., 96.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 9 head, 755 to 787 lbs., 104.00 to 107.00 (105.30). Large frame 1, 11 head, 784 lbs., 100.00.

Feeder Holstein steers: Large frame 3, 9 head, 594 lbs., 76.50; 10 head, 819 lbs., 70.50; 20 head, 954 lbs., 73.75; 5 head, 1037 lbs., 69.50; 13 head, 1181 lbs., 70.25; 10 head, 1271 lbs., 67.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 16 head, 627 to 628 lbs., 109.00 to 112.50 (110.97); 20 head, 702 to 748 lbs., 105.50 to 107.00 (106.31); 6 head, 788 lbs., 104.75; 813 to 832 lbs., 102.25 to 108.25 (105.14); 859 to 897 lbs., 104.00 to 106.00 (104.18); 910 to 948 lbs., 101.25 to 104.60 (103.32); 966 to 973 lbs., 101.75 to 103.60 (102.52); 59 head, 1006 lbs., 94.70; 28 head, 1070 lbs., 94.00; 1121 to 1148 lbs., 90.00 to 92.70 ( 91.60).
