Watertown cattle sales

The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., June 18, reported receipts of 620 head, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

There were no trends due to no report the past three weeks. Feeder steers made up 47% of the run, feeder heifers made up 53%, with 92% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 920 to 943 lbs., 100.00 to 104.90 (103.90); 31 head, 1225 lbs., 91.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 552 to 582 lbs., 122.00 to 124.00 (123.58); 7 head, 617 lbs., 115.00.

Feeder Holstein steers: Large frame 3, 7 head, 748 lbs., 63.00; 18 head, 835 lbs., 67.00; 10 head, 1147 lbs., 75.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 13 head, 515 lbs., 112.50; 11 head, 588 lbs., 114.00; 7 head, 610 lbs., 107.00; 7 head, 714 lbs., 96.00; 38 head, 820 lbs., 98.75; 21 head, 851 lbs., 98.25; 908 to 938 lbs., 94.00 to 96.25 (95.57); 1017 to 1037 lbs., 90.75 to 94.50 (94.30); 10 head, 1084 lbs., 89.10; 35 head, 1169 lbs., 89.75 fleshy; 35 head, 1214 lbs., 88.80.
