Tulia livestock sales reportThe Tulia Livestock Auction Inc., Tulia, Texas, reported receipts of 2,387 head June 16, compared to 2,955 head last week and 2,425 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $3 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to $1 higher. Trade and demand were moderate to good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 300- to 900-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls made up 4% of the offering, replacement cows less than 1%, and feeders 95%. The feeder supply included 49% steers and 51% heifers, with nearly 78% over 600 pounds.
