St. Joseph feeder pigs

The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 298 head June 17, compared to 104 head last week and 320 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo.

Compared to last week, this nice offering of feeder pigs was not well tested, but sold with a sharply lower undertone as corn prices have risen higher.

U.S. 1 to 2: lot 37 lbs., 12.50; string 50 lbs., 16.75; string 59 lbs., 17.75; package 72 lbs., 20.00.

U.S. 1 to 3: package 42 lbs., 10.00; package 56 lbs., 12.00.
