South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending June 13, showed receipts of 1,600 feeder lambs, and 100 head replacement nannies, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to last week, feeder lambs were $5 lower. There were no slaughter lambs, slaughter ewes, and replacement ewes, and slaughter meat goats. Trading and demand were moderate. Numbers of available feeder lambs increased. Hot, dry weather continued in the area and feed supplies were quickly deteriorating.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 1600 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 65 to 90 lbs., 110.00 to 112.00.

Replacement nannies: Texas, 100 head, Selection 1 to 2, baby tooth solid mouth 70.00 per head.
