Research and Demonstration Farm field days begin June 19

Iowa

Field days at Iowa State University's Research and Demonstration Farms begin June 19 at the Northeast farm near Nashua.

Among the highlights of the field day season is the 50th anniversary of the Allee Demonstration Farm near Newell on Sept. 16. There also will be special tours of biomass research plots and bioenergy processing equipment at the Agricultural Engineering/Agronomy Farm near Ames Aug. 25 and 29, the days before and after the Farm Progress Show.

The public is welcome to attend these field days, which take place rain or shine. Farm visitors are asked to follow policies when attending a field day at a farm with livestock. There is more information at: http://www.ag.iastate.edu/farms/fielddays.php.
