Pratt livestock sales reportPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 2,542 head June 12, compared to 2,401 head last week and 852 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, steers at 600 to 900 pounds were steady to $2 lower. Heifers at 600 to 850 pounds were $2 lower. Steers and heifers 300 to 600 pounds were weak to $2 lower in a very limited test. Trade was active, demand was good. Slaughter cows were steady. Slaughter bulls were $2 lower. Receipts included 74% 600 pounds and over, 13% 600 pounds and under, 13% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 66% steers and 34% heifers.
