Grain market closeThe USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colo., in the closing grain report for June 16, reported in futures trading that Chicago July soft red winter wheat was $8.76 1/2, down 5 1/2 cents; July corn, $7.32 1/4, up 3/4 cent; and July soybeans, $15.34, down 26 cents. The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, $9.71 to $9.86, down 3 1/4 to 2 1/4 cents; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $7.11 1/2 to $7.26 1/2, down 5 1/2 cents; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $7.60 1/2 to $7.64 1/2, down 5 1/4 to 3 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, $12.28 to $12.46, down 7 to up 2 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, $12.88 1/2 to $12.99, up 1 1/2 to down 7 3/4 cents; and No. 2 yellow soybeans, barge, $15.77 to $15.81, down 29 to 28 cents. Colby, Kan., unit train wheat bid was $8.79. In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $8.79 to $8.84. No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, northwest Colorado was 18 cents higher, at $7.59. In north central Colorado, wheat was $8.38 to $8.79. In northeast Colorado, wheat was $8.31 to $8.66. In east central Colorado, wheat was $8.54 to $8.69. In southeast Colorado, wheat was $8.46 to $8.71. In south central Colorado, wheat was $8.59. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $8.54 to $8.79. No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was mostly 10 cents higher and $6.97 to $7.42 per bushel. In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $6.80 to $7.13. In east central Colorado, corn was $6.83 to $6.97. In southeast Colorado, corn was $6.92 to $7.22. In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, corn bids were $6.72 to $6.83 per bushel. No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was 17 to 21 cents higher at $11.88 to $12 per cwt. No. 1 yellow soybeans in southwest Nebraska were 21 to 24 cents higher at $14.28 to $14.38 per bushel. White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $11 to $12 per cwt., mostly $11.50. Sunflowers were $28 to $30 cwt. In Denver and surrounding areas, corn was $6.97 to $7.32 per bushel. Barley was steady at $9. In northeast Colorado and Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $32 per cwt.
