Goldthwaite sheep auctionThe Mills County Commission Co., Goldthwaite, Texas, June 13, reported receipts of 2,422 head of sheep and goats, compared to 1,938 head last week and 2,384 head last year, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, stocker and feeder lambs were not tested. Light weight slaughter lambs were $10 to $15 lower, heavy weights were not tested. Stocker and feeder goats were $10 to $12 lower. Slaughter goats were $15 to $20 lower. Demand was moderate. The supply included around 40% sheep including nearly 750 lambs. Prices per CWT unless specified. Stock and feeder: Dorper ewes, 90 to 125 lbs., 40.00 to 59.00; pairs, few 39.00 per head. Barbados ewes, 60 to 90 lbs., 20.00 to 40.00. Barbados bucks, 100.00 to 200.00 per head. Slaughter lambs: Good and Choice 1 to 3, 40 to 85 lbs., 80.00 to 93.00. Slaughter bucks, 100 to 200 lbs., 30.00 to 50.00. Barbados, lambs, 40 to 70 lbs., 70.00 to 80.00; Ewes: 60 to 90 lbs., 25.00 to 35.00. Slaughter goats: Kids, Selection 1, 40 to 60 lbs., 100.00 to 115.00; 60 to 80 lbs., 105.00 to 120.00. Selection 2, 40 to 60 lbs., 88.00 to 100.00; 60 to 80 lbs., 90.00 to 104.00. Nannies, Selection 1, 80 to 125 lbs., 30.00 to 42.00. Billies, 90 to 200 lbs., 60.00 to 70.00.
