Aberdeen livestock sales

The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 2,158 head June 18, compared to 2,772 head last week and 2,135 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers sold steady to $1 lower. Heifers sold $3 to $5 higher. Steers comprised 59% of the run, heifers, 41%, with 92% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 21 head, 502 lbs., 135.00; 41 head, 578 lbs., 125.00; 662 to 696 lbs., 114.00 to 122.50 (116.23); 35 head, 713 lbs., 121.00; 809 to 841 lbs., 109.00 to 109.50 (109.12); 58 head, 895 lbs., 108.00; 1006 to 1028 lbs., 97.00 to 97.25 (97.10); 1083 to 1098 lbs., 97.30 to 100.50 (98.06); 73 head, 1119 lbs., 93.00 to 97.35 (96.46); 1157 to 1194 lbs., 93.75 to 95.00 (94.36). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 12 head, 440 lbs., 119.00; 551 to 582 lbs., 106.00 to 116.50 (112.63); 5 head, 665 lbs., 110.00; 8 head, 837 lbs., 100.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 11 head, 560 lbs., 115.00; 19 head, 625 lbs., 107.00; 10 head, 650 lbs., 108.50; 14 head, 706 lbs., 111.00; 782 to 796 lbs., 102.50 to 105.75 (104.88); 60 head, 843 lbs., 104.00; 878 to 894 lbs., 102.00 to 102.50 (102.23); 902 to 926 lbs., 99.75 to 103.00 (101.26); 9 head, 968 lbs., 98.75; 1030 to 1038 lbs., 97.00.
