Woodward livestock auction reportThe Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 8,580 head May 23, compared to 9,150 head last week and 10,400 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $1 higher except steers over 950 pounds were $2 higher. Feeder heifers were steady except over 750 pounds were $1.50 to $2 higher. Steer and heifer calves were steady. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to full. The supply included 71% steers, 27% heifers with 90% over 600 pounds.
