KJLBA Field Day to be held at Schilling LimousinKansas The annual KJLBA Field Day will be held at Ron and Marsha Schilling's house in Edson, Kan., on June 7 and 8. Directions can be obtained from them by calling 785-694-2731. Cattle may begin arriving June 7 and be in place by 6 p.m. in time for check-in. The KJLBA Field Day show will start at 9 a.m., June 8. All participants must be current paid members of the Kansas Junior Limousin Breeders Association. If you have not paid your 2008 dues you may include them with your entry. Entries are due to Karen Campbell by May 30. Entry fees are $10 per head. There is not an additional entry fee for the bred and owned female classes. Late entries will be accepted at the show at $20 per head. Substitutions will be allowed. All bulls shown by junior exhibitors must be bred and owned bulls. A LimFlex class will be held. NALJA show rules and regulations will apply to this show. No health certificates are required, however, animals must be free of ringworm and warts. You will need to provide your own straw for bedding and tie-outs. Generators are strongly encouraged. This will be a no-fit show. You can campout at Schilling's or stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Goodland, Kan., the number is 785-890-9060; ask for the KLBA rate. A cookout will be held June 7 after the KJLBA Business Meeting and election of officers. Breakfast casserole will be provided in the morning, June 8, with sloppy joes following the show.
