Ada livestock sales reportThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 575 head May 21, compared to 940 head last week and 1,522 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week there were not enough cattle on offer for a good market test. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average. The supply included 29% steers, 68% heifers with 80% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $1 to $2 higher. Slaughter bulls were $2 higher. A total of 184 cows and bulls sold with 5% to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 476 lbs., 125.00; 16 head, 693 lbs., 110.25; 17 head, 835 lbs., 105.00. Medium and large frame 2, 38 head, 874 lbs., 100.00.
