Texhoma livestock salesThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 850 head June 11, compared to 826 head last week and 1,450 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma, Okla. Compared to last week, there was no test on feeder steers and no recent sales to test trends on feeder heifers. There was a limited test on steer and heifer calves. Demand was moderate for all classes. Fill was average, few full. The supply included 20% steers, 73% heifers with 74% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady to $1 lower. A total of 308 cows and bulls sold with 36% going to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 343 lbs., 133.00; 7 head, 398 lbs., 121.00; 30 head, 628 lbs., 113.10; 10 head, 770 lbs., 107.00. Small and medium frame 1, 8 head, 494 lbs., 120.00.
