South Central direct sheepThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending June 6, showed receipts of 1,900 feeder lambs, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder lambs were steady. There were no slaughter lambs, slaughter ewes, replacement ewes or slaughter meat goats. Trading and demand were moderate. Numbers of available feeder lambs are increasing. The past week of hot dry weather is rapidly drying pastures and lambs will be marketed quickly. Feeder lambs: Texas, 1900 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, new crop 65 to 90 lbs., 114.00 to 117.00. 6/16/08 Date: 6/12/08 Advertisement
