Sioux Falls feeder pigs

The Sioux Falls feeder pig auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., reported receipts of 294 head June 10, compared to 115 head two weeks ago and 639 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

The offering of feeder pigs lacked the quality displayed by the offering of two weeks ago, therefore, a meaningful trend not possible. Buyer attendance was light with light demand. All sales were based on actual weight and by the head.

U.S. 1 to 3: 23 head, 32 lbs., 16.50; 77 head, 40 lbs., 22.50; 50 to 54 lbs., 22.00 to 22.50 (22.27); 13 head, 61 lbs., 27.00; 25 head, 65 lbs., 27.00; 10 head, 85 lbs., 30.00.

U.S. 2 to 3: 23 head, 17 lbs., 5.00; 20 head, 31 to 32 lbs., 11.00 to 14.50 (13.45); 36 to 38 lbs., 12.00 to 17.50 (15.41).
