Presho cattle sales report

The Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 375 head June 5, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Trends were not applicable as supplies were light. The run was cut short by up to 4 inches of rain in the trade area. The offering included 81% steers, 19% heifers, with 93% 600 pounds and over. Feeder steers were natural and source verified.

Feeder steers: Large frame 1, 877 to 890 lbs., 112.00 to 112.50 (112.13).

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 21 head, 587 lbs., 112.25; 20 head, 617 lbs., 108.50; 19 head, 706 lbs., 106.25.
