Morgan County Cattlemen's Association names scholarship winners

Colorado

Rex May of Brush and Jase Powell of Fort Morgan are the 2008 scholarship recipients of the Morgan County Cattlemen's Association.

Rex is the son of Scott and Holly May of Brush. He will be attending Colorado State University and pursue a degree in soil and crop sciences.

Jase is the son of Walt and Karla Powell of Fort Morgan. He will be attending North Eastern Junior College and majoring in animal science. After receiving his associate's degree, he plans to attend Colorado State University and pursue a bachelor's degree in animal science.

These scholarships are available to high school graduates that live within the Morgan County Cattlemen's Association membership boundaries. Youth must enroll in an agricultural degree program at any accredited college or university offering an agricultural degree.

Recipients can receive a $500 scholarship yearly for four years. There are currently six other recipients that are being awarded scholarships by the Morgan County Cattlemen's Association.
