Kinnan Golemon leads Corriente Association

Kinnan Golemon, Brady, Texas, has been re-elected to a rare fourth consecutive term as President of the North American Corriente Association Board of Directors. Golemon was elected during the NACA's recent national convention, national show and ropings in Hutchinson, Kan.

"Our organization has a bright future supplying quality performance cattle for team roping and bulldogging events nationwide," says Kinnan. "The team roping cattle market continues to grow and the demand for the cattle we raise is at an all-time high," he concludes.

Liza Jane Nichols, Enterprise, Ore., was elected as the NACA's Vice President. Jeff Nourse, Las Vegas, N.M., Tommy Jordan, Monroeville, Ala., and Roy Elsner, Elko, Nev., were all re-elected to three-year terms on the NACA Board of Directors. They join Jay Matthews, Worland, Wyo., and Lyndell Peterson, Hermosa, S.D., to complete the seven person board.

Since its 1982 beginning, NACA has grown to more than 900 members located in 42 states, plus Canada and Mexico. NACA cattle are produced for team roping and bulldogging excellence. Data maintained by breeders and the association document birth, pedigree and individual show records on more than 63,000 individual cattle. Corriente cattle trace their origin to the Spanish cattle first brought to the Americas by Christopher Columbus on his second voyage in 1493.

Free information can be obtained by contacting NACA, PO Box 12359, N. Kansas City, MO 64116 or by visiting the association's web site at www.corrientecattle.org.
