Dodge City livestock sales reportDodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 1,809 head, June 4, compared to 2,886 head, last week and 2,625 head, last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers 400 to 700 pounds not enough for test, although a steady undertone was noted, 700 to 1000 pounds were steady to $2 higher on light offering. Heifers 400 to 650 pounds not enough for test, a steady undertone was noted, 650 to 800 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Slaughter cows were weak to $4 lower, the bulk of the trade was $1 to $3 lower. Slaughter bulls were weak to $1 lower. Receipts included 70% over 600 pounds, 16% under 600 pounds and 14% slaughter cows and bulls with 190 early. The feeder supply consisted of 30% steers and 70% heifers.
