Amarillo livestock auction reportThe Amarillo Livestock Auction, Amarillo, Texas, reported receipts of 1,333 head June 10, compared to 1,232 head last week and 1,459 head last year, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were $2 to $3 lower, except 600 to 800-pound steers were steady. Slaughter cows were steady to $1 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 300- to 800-pound feeder steers and heifers. Trade and demand was moderate to good. Slaughter cows made up 7% of the offering, slaughter bulls 2%, replacement cows 3% and feeders 88%. The feeder supply included 58% steers and 42% heifers, with nearly 41% of the run over 600 pounds.
