South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending June 27, showed receipts of 3,100 head of feeder lambs, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to last week, feeder lambs were steady to $5 lower. There were no slaughter lambs, slaughter ewes, replacement ewes, or slaughter meat goats. Trading and demand were moderate. Hot, dry weather continues in the area and feed supplies are deteriorating.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 3100 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 65 to 90 lbs., 98.00 to 102.50, bulk 100.00.
