Oklahoma wheat stocks up 13 percent from last yearWheat stored in all positions on June 1, totaled 25.2 million bushels, up 13 percent from last year, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Agricultural Statistics Service, Oklahoma Field Office. Wheat stored in off-farm locations comprised 98 percent of the total stocks. Off-farm corn stocks totaled 9.6 million bushels, up 42 percent from a year ago. Oat stocks stored in commercial facilities on June 1, totaled 451 thousand bushels. This report was based on reports from Oklahoma farmers and commercial grain storage facilities. United States: Wheat stored in all positions on June 1, totaled 306 million bushels, down 33 percent from a year ago. Wheat stored in off-farm locations comprised 92 percent of the total stocks. Corn stocks stored in all positions on June 1, totaled 4.03 billion bushels, up 14 percent from June 1, 2007 Sorghum stored in all positions on June 1, totaled 97 million bushels, up 29 percent from a year ago. Soybean stocks in all positions on June 1, totaled 676 million bushels, down 38 percent from June 1, 2007.
