Dodge City livestock sales reportDodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 1,862 head June 25, compared to 3,080 head last week and 580 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers at 800 to 900 pounds were $3 to $5 higher. Heifers at 550 to 700 pounds were steady to firm. Other classes and weights were not enough for a market test, but a steady to firm undertone was noted. Slaughter cows and bulls were $1 to $3 higher. Receipts included 60% 600 lbs., and over, 28% 600 pounds and under, 12% slaughter cows and bulls with 229 head, early. The feeder supply included 67% steers and 33% heifers.
