San Angelo sheep, goat salesProducers Livestock Auction Co., San Angelo, Texas, reported estimated receipts of 7,700 head of sheep and goats July 22, compared to 7,891 last week and 7,926 last year, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, San Angelo. Compared to last week, heavy slaughter lambs were not well tested; light slaughter lambs were weak to $3 lower. Slaughter ewes were steady. There was no comparison on feeder lambs. Nannies were steady and kids were weak to $3 lower. Trading and demand were moderate. Supply included 15 percent slaughter lambs, 30 percent slaughter ewes, and 15 percent feeder lambs. Goats were an estimated 40 percent of receipts and all sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified. Slaughter lambs: Choice 2 and 3, shorn and wooled, 90 to 125 lbs., 85.00 to 94.00. Good and Choice 1 and 2, 40 to 100 lbs., 80.00 to 100.00; hair lambs, 40 to 100 lbs., 80.00 to 95.00. Slaughter ewes: Good 2 and 3, 30.00 to 38.50; Utility and Good 1 and 3, 40.00 to 51.50; Utility 1 and 2, 30.00 to 40.00; Cull and Utility 1 and 2, 20.00 to 30.00; Cull 1, 5.00 to 18.00. Slaughter bucks: 20.00 to 42.00. Feeder lambs: Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 50 to 100 lbs., 95.00 to 103.50; 110 to 115 lbs., 100.50 to 101.00. Medium and large frame 2, 40 to 90 lbs., 83.00 to 95.00. Replacement ewes: Medium and large frame 1 and 2, baby tooth to solid mouth, 120 to 150 lbs., 53.50 to 54.00 cwt. Slaughter goats: Kids, Selection 1, 30 to 40 lbs., 100.00 to 105.00; 40 to 80 lbs., 100.00 to 108.00, few 110.00 to 111.00; 80 to 100 lbs., 96.00 to 104.00, set 90 lbs., 116.00. Selection 1 and 2, 25 to 40 lbs., 90.00 to 97.00; 40 to 80 lbs., 90.00 to 100.00; 80 to 100 lbs., 80.00 to 95.00. Selection 2, 30 to 40 lbs., 70.00 to 90.00; 40 to 80 lbs., 78.00 to 90.00. Does and nannies, Selection 1 and 2, 80 to 130 lbs., 38.00 to 50.00; 130 to 170 lbs., 40.00 to 48.50; thin 70 to 115 lbs., 20.00 to 38.00.
