Tulsa livestock market reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 2,050 head July 14, compared to 1,724 head last week and 2,334 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steer calves were $2 to $3 lower, feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. All heifers were mostly steady. Weigh-ups were mostly average, very good demand for feeder cattle along with good attendance of buyers. There was a higher incidence of No. 2 cattle. Receipts included 47% steers, 39% heifers, 12% of bulls, with 33% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to $1 lower. A total of 205 cows and bulls sold with 68% going to packers.
