Tulia livestock sales reportThe Tulia Livestock Auction Inc., Tulia, Texas, reported receipts of 1,725 head July 14, compared to 2,383 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, no comparison was available due to the holiday closing last week. Trade and demand were good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 200- to 900-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls made up 4% of the offering, replacement cows less than 1%, and feeders 95%. The feeder supply included 56% steers, 44% heifers, with nearly 50% of the run over 600 pounds.
