Wheat production in Kansas for 2008 is forecast at 366.6 million bushels. The current forecast is up 3 percent from June 1 and 29 percent above last year's production. Harvested acres are expected to total 9.4 million, unchanged from June 1 but 800,000 acres higher than last year. Yield is expected to average 39 bushels per acre, up 1 bushel from the June 1 forecast and up 6 bushels from last year's yield.
