Joplin feeder cattle salesThe Joplin Regional Stockyards, Joplin, Mo., reported receipts of 4,500 head July 14, compared to 3,500 head last week and 4,171 head last year, according to the Missouri Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Jefferson City, Mo. Compared to last week, steers under 500 pounds were $1 to $3 lower, 500 to 700 pounds were steady, over 700 pounds were steady to $1 higher, heifers under 600 pounds were steady, over 600 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Demand and supply were moderate. The feeder supply included 47% steers, 45% heifers, 5% bulls, with 56% over 600 pounds.
