Ericson livestock sales reportThe Ericson Spalding Livestock Auction, Ericson, Neb., reported receipts of 5,300 head July 12, compared to 3,500 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. There were no recent feeder auctions to establish a trend, however, a higher undertone was noted. There was good demand and buyer turnout for this year's annual barbeque auction. Receipts consisted of 48% steers and 52% heifers with 86% over 600 pounds.
