Dalhart livestock sales reportThe Cattleman's Livestock Auction, Dalhart, Texas, reported receipts of 1,386 head July 10, compared to 1,306 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to two weeks ago, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $1 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls were firm. Trade was active. Demand was good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 250- to 675-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows made up 31% of the offering, slaughter bulls 1%, replacement cows 3%, and feeders 65%. The feeder supply included 30% steers and 70% heifers, with nearly 10% of the run over 600 pounds. Steers: Medium and large frame 1: 200 to 300 lbs., 147.00 to 148.00, package 214 lbs., 168.00; 300 to 400 lbs., 130.00 to 136.00, package 301 lbs., 146.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 121.00 to 123.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 116.00 to 118.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 110.50 to 113.00; package 765 lbs., 105.50.
