Ada livestock sales report

The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,425 head July 9, compared to 575 head last week and 1,388 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were steady. Quality and weigh-ups were average, flesh conditions were medium. The supply included 35% heifers and 55% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 9 head, 423 lbs., 125.00; 9 head, 478 to 498 lbs., 114.00 to 118.00 (117.08); 15 head, 514 to 521 lbs., 112.00 to 114.00 (112.93); 562 to 577 lbs., 112.00 to 115.00 (113.23); 615 to 628 lbs., 109.00 to 113.75 (110.82); 668 to 682 lbs., 105.50 to 110.75 (108.26); 700 to 736 lbs., 106.00 to 112.25 (108.85); 15 head, 754 to 791 lbs., 106.00 to 109.75 (107.73); 14 head, 802 to 842 lbs., 105.00 to 106.75 (105.90). Medium and large frame 2, 7 head, 452 to 478 lbs., 105.00 to 111.00 (107.49); 9 head, 557 to 598 lbs., 103.00 to 107.50 (104.46).

Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 607 to 625 lbs., 100.00 to 102.50 (101.86). Medium and large frame 2, 5 head, 444 lbs., 111.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 13 head, 408 to 440 lbs., 111.50 to 114.00 (112.04); 14 head, 465 to 497 lbs., 108.00 to 110.00 (108.86); 510 to 538 lbs., 106.00 to 112.00 (111.11); 553 to 597 lbs., 105.00 to 108.50 (106.38); 6 head, 622 lbs., 104.00; 6 head, 658 lbs., 102.00; 13 head, 734 to 743 lbs., 98.00 to 98.50 (98.27); 7 head, 760 to 783 lbs., 95.00 to 97.00 (96.16); 8 head, 801 lbs., 95.00. Medium and large frame 2, 6 head, 404 to 423 lbs., 101.00 to 108.00 (103.41); 5 head, 538 to 548 lbs., 95.00 to 101.00 (98.63); 13 head, 573 to 594 lbs., 94.50 to 100.50 (96.39); 14 head, 603 to 645 lbs., 100.50 to 102.50 (101.48).
