Sioux Falls sheep sales

The Sioux Falls feeder pig auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., reported receipts of 1,467 head July 8, compared to 61 head two weeks ago and 1,036 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Due to light receipts last sale trends were not applicable, however a definite lower undertone was noted. All sales based on actual weight.

U.S. 1 to 3: 266 36 to 39 lbs., 5.00; 40 to 44 lbs., 5.00 to 8.00 (5.86); 8 head, 49 lbs., 7.50; 22 head, 53 lbs., 10.00; 21 head, 61 lbs., 13.50; 198 head, 65 lbs., 10.00; 8 head, 78 lbs., 14.00.
